We continue to delight in the traditions that come with this season.
Last night was our annual Christmas Light Night. Nasher got his pj's on and then we all loaded in the creeper. After picking up friends, we headed to McDonald's for hot apple pies (so delightful this one time a year!) and coffee and began our Laramie Lights tour around town. It was wonderful!
Merry. Merry. Merry. May your days be FULL!

The smells. The excitement. The overflowing JOY.
We love this season!
Our hearts are reflective and my personal prayer is that the Lord will allow Himself to fully resonate within our home during this season of waiting. Our Jesse Tree receives a new ornament each day and our hearts gain new understanding from scripture as we press on toward the wonderful day of Christ's coming.
This week our new play nativity arrived. Handcrafted from a dear friend -- we LOVE it! It's been such fun to watch as Nash plays with baby Jesus and learns more about the coming of our King!
We have enjoyed this season and adding new traditions into our home. I am so grateful that I get the chance to be the wife and mama that I've always desired to be.

I'm so ready for it to go away!
Thankfully life continues even when not feeling well.
Today the family is headed to Greeley to enjoy a hotel room that dad has for work. Even though we are feeling cruddy, we're hoping to enjoy this Friday night as a family. I'm thinking The Muppets may just have to be on the agenda. We'll see how dad feels after working a long day.
Happy Friday all! Enjoy your weekend with your loved ones!

Today there was MUCH stirring in the Cooley household. Our good friend Kari came over for some stick pony crafting this morning, while I worked on Angry Bird sticks for nephews. Nash enjoyed some iPad play while the girls enjoyed the crafting mix.
There are many things I love about this season. November draws my heart to a place of Thanksgiving while waiting on the Christmas season to approach. It's here and i.love.it! All of me is head over heels, completely in love with this season! I have been enjoying adding touches to our home. Oh, so much fun!
This year we are beginning the Jesse Tree tradition with Nash. The tree is up and I'm eager to begin our first day of Advent celebration once Eric gets home! Each day there's an ornament and reading highlighting elements of the Advent season.
Yesterday Nash and I worked on garland and other random Christmas(y) things to place around the house; we're happy with the outcome!

July 8th (last post)...where has the time gone? I apparently haven't been in blogging mode for MONTHS! I'm sure my few followers haven't even missed my musings...if you have I'm grateful.
Life has come and gone. Moments have been sacred, cherished, mourned, celebrated and simply lived.
All in all -- I can confidently say; I am blessed beyond measure.
I love this holiday season and all that stirs within my soul. Daily I'm able to reflect upon how incredibly blessed I am. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful boy, a warm house and MORE than I can list through words on a page.
God is giving, gracious, merciful and oh so tender -- I am delighted to be His!
My sweet Nasher turned 2...TWO! I can hardly believe it! He is a pure delight in our lives! We are so lucky to share life with him and what a great week we had as his life was celebrated by so many! He is SO loved and cherished...again; BLESSED!
He is full of life and love and energy and joy and delight and sometimes he can be naughty. There was apparently a switch turned on the day he entered 2, we've had more teachable moments in the past week than it seems we've had in the first 2 years. I am so thankful that I get to wrestle with myself as I parent during the trying times. What a blessing to be home with this beautiful burst of life! Our family is SO much better because of this little boy!

time is ticking and i find myself following, not necessarily loving the pace, but following nonetheless.
july -- where did may and june disappear to?
summer days, visiting here and there, family, friends, picnics, bike rides, photos upon photos and sessions upon sessions -- all really good things...
it's just that time is passing too quickly.
we are enjoying alac's visit and the beautiful weather.
these are those moments i desire to drink of deeply.
apparently when one gets braces the world comes crashing down in other ways too:
leaking sewer line in crawl space; thankfully there are plumbers!
abnormal test, resulting in a procedure that wasn't much fun; now awaiting results...
flight miscommunications...days in denver...delayed plane...FINALLY we made it home (only 3 days later!)
busted copper water line resulting in torn out basement bathroom ceiling.
this is life. the good, the bad, the ugly.
i will rejoice for THIS is the day that the Lord has made, I (choose) to rejoice and be glad in it!

This technology amazes me, but challenges me too. I'm trying to figure it all out.
Not only does technology amaze me, but the power and love of my Heavenly Father. He blessed me with a dear friend to share life with...long life...hard moments...richness...joy...pain...the list goes on. My beloved is mine and I am his. Thanks be to God for allowing me to become a wife. Not just any wife, but Eric Cooley's wife. Daily I'm amazed!
He's a great husband and a tremendous father. I could not have dreamed of a better partner to be loved by or raise Nash with! I had no idea, but God did; He knows and answers long prayed prayers. I love that!
Today my shout out goes to Eric. Thank you for loving your family whole heartedly and so tenderly! We love you endlessly!
Here I am, resting in a camper in El Paso, Texas visiting family. It's been a blessing as I've interacted with loved ones. Sure it's had those moments; you know, the ones that cause some cringing...my boy is delightful, but willed in many ways. I'm learning and growing!
Today we enjoyed some sweet shopping, good eating and a much needed pool retreat. The weather is fabulous as have been the memories. We long for home though...
Eric has been working on completing our bathroom floor while we're traveling. It's caused a few trials for him, but he presses on. I love that about him! He's such a dedicated man...he loves us wholly and daily does all he can to show that...we are blessed; richly!
Saturday will come. I look forward to his arms holding me and snatching up his mini me. Until then we will continue to soak our time here in...to embrace time with family...to count our blessings...one by one...

enjoy the sweet sweet savory sunshine as it gently kisses you and yours!
